prithviraj chavan to take oath as new CM of maharashtra

11th november 2010: maharshtra chief minister designate prithviraj chavan along with deputy chief minister ajit pawar are going to take oath for the respective posts on thursday 12 november 2010. they went to raj bhavan wednesday evening and showed their support of 170 MLA to the present governor of state K shankar narayanan, from their respective legislator. prithviraj chavan is a senior member of INC and ajit pawar the nephew of sharad pawar is from NCP.
its to be noted that, just few days ago ashok chavan the preceding chief minister had given his resignation to the governor. he was told to resign from the post by the party head sonia gandhi due to the allegations of chavan's case with adarsh society.
its important to know that adarsh society is a land which has been distributed or assigned for the military personnels who had fought in kargil mostly. the allegation on chavan is that, he had tried to acqired some land in adarsh society by alloting some land to his dear ones.
